Forest Enterprises expects to harvest a million tonnes from the forest estate we manage in the Hawkes Bay.
We manage 1,289 hectares of radiata pine forest in Hawkes Bay region (four forestry investments), representing approximately 7% of our total estate under management.
These are our youngest forest investments and their harvest is a few years away from commencement. 90% of these Hawkes Bay forests were established in 1996, and will therefore be ready for harvest around 2024 at age 28.
As we told Andrew Ashton from Hawkes Bay Today, we have our eye on the ball.
